Lithuania is rapidly emerging as a frontrunner in Central and Eastern Europe for battery energy storage deployment, with a string of large-scale projects designed to stabilise the grid and enable greater penetration of renewables. Energy cells, operating under the state-owned FSOG and overseen by Lithuania's Ministry of Energy, is at the forefront of Europe's energy sector with its substantial battery energy storage system.
