Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (POWERGRID) has issued a global competitive bidding (GCB) process for the development of a 100 MW/200 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Punjab, with bids invited until March 17, 2026. The latest storage developer to make a move is Econergy Renewable Energy, which has announced its entry into the German market by acquiring two battery energy storage projects with a combined capacity of 100 MW / 200 MWh.
